Jobs and Skills Centre
Jobs and Skills Centres (JSCs) are one-stop shops for careers, training and employment advice and assistance. Services are free and accessible to all members of the community. Centres are located throughout WA, with many co-located on TAFE campuses.
JSCs provide free and practical advice on:
- training and courses, including TAFE courses;
- choosing the right training course or qualification to suit your goals;
- guidance on career choices;
- help with job searching and matching;
- employment opportunities;
- apprenticeship and traineeship information;
- Job Ready Programs; and
- culturally sensitive employment and career services for Aboriginal peoples.

Australia’s first National Centre of Excellence dedicated to clean energy skills, the Clean Energy Skills National Centre of Excellence serves as a front door to Australia’s clean energy skills ecosystem, ready to connect, collaborate, and create the future of clean energy employment in WA and beyond.
The Centre works in collaboration with WA TAFE colleges, universities, industry and national partners to co-design training solutions, support trainers, and ensure all Australians can thrive in the clean energy economy.

Defence Industry Skills Centre of Excellence
WA’s is home to the Defence Industry Skills Centre of Excellence supporting the state’s rapidly expanding defence industry. The Centre will establish WA as the nation’s leader in defence industry workforce development and position the state at the centre of Australia’s sovereign defence capability.
Led by South Metropolitan TAFE, the Centre will lead the design and delivery of training programs for the industry’s emerging skills needs, ensuring the State has a growing pipeline of skilled workers to deliver current and future Defence work.
